What is Canine Small Groups by KBDT?
An informal and small meet up group, open to all breeds and ages, where owners can come to advance
their current skill set with their dog in a fun, low-pressure environment. Instruction topics are
announced the day of class...so you never know what you'll be asked to do...just like the adventure
and wonder of everyday life! Skilled trainers are available to help you and your dog work through new
challenges and everybody leaves with a feeling of success, as each of you will have the opportunity to
work at your own pace. Jump in for one or join us for all! The flexibility of the scheduling, without
an ongoing commitment, was created to work around YOUR busy schedule.
CSG classes are open to existing KBDT clients and those approved (by affiliated trainers) for the
group class setting! Contact us at training@kimberlyburgan.com to see if the CSG option is right for you!

- Low-pressure once a month drop in option without a weekly time commitment
- Working topics are assigned upon your arrival and will take the group and individual needs into consideration
- Informal fun with your dog while working individually and collectively
- Invite only (canines and handlers are pre-selected based on their readiness for the group class environment).
While your classmates will all exhibit different skill levels and/or challenges, we will all be working from and with
the same philosophy or “set of rules and boundaries” and all will have had prior training with KBDT or affiliated trainers.

Maximize Your Group Class Experience!
Follow the tips below to make the most of your learning experience:
- Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to each class to familiarize your dog with the class area.
Remember, it is disruptive to your classmates for you to arrive late and can ultimately increase
anxiety/frustration for your dog.
- Bring several different types of food treats and Fido's favorite toy! Fido may require a higher
reward in class than he does at home!
- Be prepared to do your homework! We will provide you with the tools and knowledge you need to
perform training exercises and programs at home. Time spent outside of class with your dog will
ensure we achieve the group class goals.
- Consider bringing your family members to participate in class so that everyone in the household
is on board with your training efforts!
- Outdoor facilities at the Central Texas Veterinary Specialty Hospital do not have restrooms available
for our human students. Potty beforehand, friends!
